The skin you're in - Edmonton Sun

The 3M-designed adhesive doesn’t stick to the surface of your gadget until you put pressure on it, so you can slide the GelaSkin around on your laptop lid or iPod face until it’s perfectly centred, then press down to make it stick. I got my latest GelaSkin — Nathan Ota’s Robo, depicting a one-eyed automaton sitting at an old-timey school desk — applied to my MacBook in less than a minute, with no warps or bubbles. GelaSkins aren’t going to provide the same kind of protection that a padded or hard-shelled case will, but unless you’re regularly flinging your iPod into a handbag with your keys, a few railway spikes and a cranky pit bull, a full-on case might be overkill. Some might balk at paying up to $37 for what’s basically a big vinyl sticker, but you can’t put a price on fine art — or on making your boring, generic gadgets a reflection of your own personality.
